Short-Term Running Goals: I've gotten the running bug back and hope I can continue to enjoy it. I think for now, my short-term goal is to NOT burn myself out. I am pro at doing that. I have a half and full marathon that I am planning on racing in a few months. I hope to be trained well enough to PR in both, but if not...I will enjoy the ride. Long-Term Running Goals: Under 1:30 half

| 2.5 on the treadmill because it was raining. I was dying of the heat so went outside and ran another 4.5 up 9800 S and back. Enjoyable and felt great. Left the Garmin home today so no pace. Treadmill pace was around 9:00 so lets go with that:) |

| 6 mile loop up 9800 S, 1300 W, back down 9000 S and to 500 W. Felt better than I have felt in a LONG time. Garmin was dead...AGAIN so not sure of pace but it felt faster but easy. Ahh, it must be coming back. |

| Treadmill again...7 in an hour. Most of my miles were at 8:27 pace, but the first couple were a little slower. Got pretty darned tired around 45 minutes in. |

| 2.5 on the treadmill at a comfy 9:00 pace. Went down to the trail and ran 2 more at 8:45ish and then another 1 at 8:50 and the last 1/2 at 7:50 pace. The last 1/4 I really picked it up and felt like I might puke, but didn't. |

| Big loop through Riverton and Bluffdale at 6:00 am by my lonesome. Stopped at Walmart for a potty and drink break. Saw Julie at 5.5, ran with her down 12600 to trail and out to 14400 and had my daughter pick me up. Progressive pace starting at 9:50 and ending at 8:50ish...overall pace 9:12. Felt super but was way tired the rest of the day. |

| One of "THOSE" days! Charged my ipod last night...didn't charge, charged my Garmin...didn't charged, went to bed early and ate great yesterday and I didn't charge! No umph today at all. Don't know what my pace was, but I'm guessing around 9:30. |

| Ran to the trail and south to 4 miles and back. I felt fantastic and did a bit of a progressive tempo...it wasn't super fast but all 8 miles were under 9. AP 8:40. Last mile was the fastest at 8:25 and it is all uphill. |

| Went down to JRP in Bluffdale. My goal was to keep it really comfortable and recover so I can have some energy for 12 tomorrow. My first 2 were faster than I would have like (8:50ish) even though that felt comfortable and effortless. I turned around and it wasn't hard to slow down because the wind was blowing soooo hard. My AP ended up being 9:00 and the miles in the wind were tough. |

Didn't get much sleep last night, but still got up at 5:30 to meet Eric, Aaron and company for a nice run. We drove out to Copperton and ended near the District. Mostly a downhill run with a few rollers here and there. I really liked this and think it will be a good downhill training run.
I started way too fast (8:00) and held between 8:00-8:30 for the first 8 miles. At that point Aaron sped up and I ran with a guy I didn't know. He was planning on 15, but the pace was a little fast for him the whole time so he called it quits at 13 with me. We slowed a bit, but still kept it under 9. AP 8:30.
I felt really good all day and I'm not sore. Was worried I had pushed a little too hard, but I guess not. So, I like running with people a little bit, but I tell ya, I really enjoy doing my own pace...I think I listen to my body a little more and am smarter when I'm not trying to run someone else's pace. |

4 out from work down to JRP and south and back. Started really sluggish...legs were tight and heavy, felt better around mile 3 and got into a rhythm. My miles were meant to be comfortable today. 9:26, 9:29, 9:21,9:10, 9:00,8:40, 8:51,8:56 - AP 9:07
I needed this slower paced day. I've been trying to prove to myself that I can run fast and keep forgetting that recovery is soooo important and that I am just base building right now. |

| Ran from work down 9800 S. to JRP. Mile 1 & 2 warm-up 8:56, 9:03. Did 4 - 800 repeats with 400 recovery. I kept all 4 around 7:30 pace. Recovery for about 1.75. AP 8:29...definitely need to do some speedwork. My legs forget how to move fast. PM - Did some plyometrics, band resistance, and abs in the evening. My legs were dead at the end. Stretched really good and rolled them out. |
