What a weird morning! I knew it would be a little chilly so I wore a long sleeve and threw my gloves on at the last second. Ran from work down to JRP and headed south. Felt fantastic and was just keeping a nice comfortable pace to let the legs recover. Got to the 4 mile point and turned around and realized how windy it was from the north. And then...what the heck, SNOW!!! I didn't expect that and wasn't dressed accordingly. 2.75ish heading north in snow that was pelting me in the face:( The last 1.25 wasn't so bad because it is east so at least I could see out of my right eyeball!

Saw a fox on the trail this morning and lots of very protective ducks.

AP 9:18 and it felt very comfortable and nice the whole time!

Legs were way sore from the plymotrics the other night. I'm glad I didn't do more than I did or I would've been really hating it! Thought I would be smart and only run 4 on the treadmill at work and then do some core work and stretch. Started my first mile and decided that I wanted to go outside...so I did. Headed up 9800 S. to Redwood and back. Legs were a bit sore on the uphill, but felt great on the down. First TM mile warm-up was 9:40 and I didn't wear my Garmin outside. Uphill was probably aroung 9:15-9:30ish, but the rest probably low 8's.

No work today. Ran by my lonesome out along 3600 to 12600 and back up 2700. Felt pretty good. It would've been closer to 9, but I really only wanted 8 so I compromised and walked up the hill at the end when I hit 8.5. AP 9:03

Down 9800 to trail and out to 3.25 and back. First 3.25 miles were just under 9. Last 3.25 averaged around 8:20. I had one right around 8:00. Felt really good and felt good to get the legs moving a little faster. AP 8:40

PM - Did some full body work. Started with isometrics lower and did every other upper. Worked up to doing some plymotrics. Ended with abs and 15 minutes of good rolling and stretching.

4 up 9800 from work and back. First mile is downhill and great to warm up and the next 3 are all uphill. I averaged 8:37 on the way up and decided I wanted to pick it up on the way down. 5 - 8:17, 6 - 7:49, 7 - 7:57, 8 - 8:06 (back uphill). I felt really quite awesome and am excited about the next few months. AP 8:20

Hmmm, didn't plan on this. Last night found out we would be short a car today so I offered to be the one to do without and run to work. I thought it was around 9.5 miles, but I thought wrong. I realized at about mile 5-6 that I was really pushing it on whether I was going to get here on time or not. I had already been picking up the pace a bit, but really had to start pushing it. 1-7:56(way downhill),2-9:00,3-9:06,4-8:51,5-8:37,6-8:17,7-8:20, 8-8:05,9-7:52,10-8:31,.6-4:57(8:20) Last 1.25 is a good climb so that is why the slow down. I literally ran in the front doors, up the stairs and to my desk with 1 minute to spare. Phew!

Legs were dead and I had no energy! Warmed up for 1.2 at a slow pace and then joined up with the group to do the Riverton 10k. I cut off the last 1.2 because I was DONE! Seriously pooped! AP 9:20ish

Felt much better this morning. Ran out 9800 to 3200 and back definitely way faster on the way back. Low 8's and high 7's are feeling comfortable on gradual downhill...good sign! AP 8:41

BTW, new shoes for Mother's Day. Exact same as others because I love em!

Julie and I got to help "beautify" the SLCC Campus this morning by planting lots of flower so I didn't get to run until 10:30 and by then it was too darn hot. Especially since I had been outside for 3 hours already. Soooo, I opted for the TM in the AC. Warmed up for 20 minutes, did 10 minutes of 1 min. on/1 off 6:58/10:00 pace. 25 more minutes of 6.7 and that's it!

My right inner ankle tendon is feeling "off". It makes me nervous because that is where I got injured before Boston and my big slump started. I'm thinking I need to slow down a bit and just run very comfortable.

Left a little later this morning and ran to my boys soccer game in Herriman. 3600 W to 11800 S, headed west to Mtn. View Corridor and up 12600 S. Felt AWESOME!!! A day off makes such a difference for me. Forced myself to keep a slower pace. The inner ankle is buggy so I am going to start with some KT tape and see if that helps...did before. AP 8:58

Down to JRP and out 4 and back. Kept pace comfortable and easy. Leg still kind of buggy:( I think I am so dominate in my right leg that I strike harder on beat with music. I concentrated and tried to see if I struck with my left, how that would feel...no pain in right leg. I need to smooth out my stride and quit dominating one way or another and hopefully that will correct the issue. AP 9:00

I am spent! Did my own circuit training at work to avoid running and hopefully give my ankle area some more rest. Although I did quite a few plyometrics so I didn't give it much rest.

3 sets of 15 girl push-ups

3 movements/3 sets of 15 shoulders(10)

3 movements/3 sets of 15 triceps

50 air squats, 60 jump lunges, 60 lunge kick-ups, 45 box jumps, 30 split squats on each leg

45 reverse sit-ups

60 decline sit-ups

3-1 minute planks

3 sets of single leg calf raises (no weight)

Good stretching

Very eventful morning. Planned on 8 and should'v gone with my gut and run on the trail, but when I got down 9800 to the trail area, there were so many bugs and I didn't want to battle that so I headed out 9800. Got about 50 yards away from 1300 W. and saw a nasty car accident. Nobody else was around soooo, since I saw it happen, I was a good citizen and hung around to give my side of the story to the po-po. Holy cow, it was probably 20 minutes before he got there! Anywho, gave him my side of the story, my phone # and I was on my way. At that point I figured I only had time for 6 total so I kept heading west, got stuck at the light on Redwood forever. When I finally got the signal to cross, some old man in a handicapped mini-van almost ran me over! I made a scene and jumped around like a crazy woman in the middle of the road:) Turned around at 2200 W. and back down the hill. That is when my lower leg starts to get buggy...on downhill:( I love down so this sucks!!! Such is life though, right? I tried to keep it slower all in all...AP 8:51. It makes me sad not running a little faster, but I figure I'm being smart...or something like that.

Whew, worked out with the cadets this morning. 50 air squats/50 push-ups/50 full sit-ups/1 mile run 2 times through. This is some what of a race so the goal is to do it as fast as you can. I am great on everything with the exception of the push-ups...weak sauce!

Before the cadet workout I also did some attempted pull-ups-did some hangs with partial pulls, a few jump and pulls with resistance on the way down and 2 1/2 assisted. Again-weak sauce! 2 sets of 15 bicep curls.

Lastly, 15 minutes on the bike to shake out the legs and some lovely stretching!

Got up early to run with Jared before work and was hoping to do 4 with him and an additional 5-6 when I got to work. About 1 in I go a horrible pain in my lower abdomin. Toughed out another .25 and couldn't stand it. I walked the rest of the way home. I thought it would feel better later, but no. Soooo, that was it for running. BTW, bladder infection:(
