Short-Term Running Goals:

I've gotten the running bug back and hope I can continue to enjoy it. I think for now, my short-term goal is to NOT burn myself out. I am pro at doing that. I have a half and full marathon that I am planning on racing in a few months. I hope to be trained well enough to PR in both, but if not...I will enjoy the ride.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Under 1:30 half

3:15 marathon

Early morning for me. Had to get up at 4:30 to meet BBK's at SJ Park for our 4 5k's. Did first one nice and slow (around 8:30 pace), second still nice and slow (8:20ish), third was around 8:00, and fourth was just under 8:00. Felt good and had to hold myself back from going faster several times.

Went to Stake Center to teach my class and wore flip flops in hopes that I wouldn't participate and I didn't for the most part. Little things here and there but I didn't do the whole class. It was good cuz I was able to correct form and yell a little more:)

Went and bought another pair of shoes since my new ones almost have 100 miles already. I figure I'll stick them in the closet for the most part until the marathon and wear these other new ones until then.

So, why were you holding back (I could tell, by the way)?? I told Scott while we were running that everyone was running slow today, we were not really running that fast!

Way to yell at the women, that is much more fun!

We did run a bit slow but you also ran FAST! The reason for us slowing was...We aren't gonna get any faster on the taper but we could get injured so we took it a little easier. In one of my books it says to try and do marathon pace speed workouts during the taper weeks. We'll see if all this "planning" works out. I probably would have run faster but Julie keeps me controlled.

Nice job today! You did great and accomplished what you set out to do.
