Ran Boston in April 2009 and had an absolute blast.
Half Marathon PR 1:35.
10k PR-46:20 (Obviously not a great short distance runner:)
Short-Term Running Goals:
I've gotten the running bug back and hope I can continue to enjoy it. I think for now, my short-term goal is to NOT burn myself out. I am pro at doing that. I have a half and full marathon that I am planning on racing in a few months. I hope to be trained well enough to PR in both, but if not...I will enjoy the ride.
Long-Term Running Goals:
Under 1:30 half
3:15 marathon
Personal:
Married with children. 17,16,14,11 and 7. 3 boys, 2 girls. I have the best husband in the world!
Ran on my treadmill at home for 5.1 at a 9.:05 pace. Very uneventful other than watching Transformers. No more weights for me until after the marathon.
My treadmill is actually pretty nice for a home model but it just isn't as nice as the gym's. It wasn't as boring as Friday though. I had actually only seen Transformers one time so I though, why not.
Funny thing, I always thought mine was nice, but I just preferred running at the gym for the people factor. Then I ran on it 2 weeks ago and it sucks. i need to get rid of it.
So, I have not run yet. How much should I run? I do not know how to taper.
Nice job today! Any treadmill miles are fantastic - I hate them, nice treadmill or not!
