I've gotten the running bug back and hope I can continue to enjoy it. I think for now, my short-term goal is to NOT burn myself out. I am pro at doing that. I have a half and full marathon that I am planning on racing in a few months. I hope to be trained well enough to PR in both, but if not...I will enjoy the ride.

3:15 marathon

Speed work with the BBs at Bingham's new track.  We started with a  2 1/2 mile warm up off the track. Started on the track with 4x600's. First 400 at 10k pace and last 200 all out followed by a 400 recovery in between. 1x1200 at 10k pace with 400 recovery another 2x600, then 800, 600, 400. Cooled down for 400. I didn't feel too great this morning. My stomach was a bit upset when I woke up and it kind of stayed that way the whole workout. Thought I may throw up a few times but didn't. Overall pace-8:00. My warm up miles were around 8:50 average so all in all my track pace was good even with the recovery.

Great job today. It is so hard to run feeling yucky, especially when someone is trying to get speed out of you!

I wonder what is in the air? I just hope I can get some food in me today, I have no ENERGY!!!!

I think your stomach was upset because you were running at the Bingham Miners' track and you know your loyalty lies with the Riverton Silverwolves.

From Michelle N. on Tue, Sep 09, 2008 at 15:34:04

I think you're right Paul:) I am definately a Silverwolves fan with my little dudes playin' football. Do you have one that plays soccer at the HS?

From Julie on Tue, Sep 09, 2008 at 21:48:27

Good Job today Michelle. I'm so glad you didn't throw up. I can't decide if I agree with Paul. I am a former Miner, but my daughter goes to Riverton. I'm so torn. You are doing great getting in the miles.
