Short-Term Running Goals:

I've gotten the running bug back and hope I can continue to enjoy it. I think for now, my short-term goal is to NOT burn myself out. I am pro at doing that. I have a half and full marathon that I am planning on racing in a few months. I hope to be trained well enough to PR in both, but if not...I will enjoy the ride.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Under 1:30 half

3:15 marathon

Went to they gym and did back/biceps/abs. Jumped on a stationary bike for 30 minutes=3miles, eliptical 15 minutes=1.5 miles and treadmill for 1.5 miles. I got really bored with everything I did this morning. Too slow but I didn't want to push it because of my foot and the BIG ONE tomorrow:)

I am starting to believe that ther are lots of benefits to at least doing something consistently. Good job!

I think you are right Paul. When I trained for SL Marathon in the spring, I only ran 2-3 days a week and cross trained the other days and still managed a 3:47 on that crappy course and the bad head wind. I'll be curious to see how I do at SG with more running and less crosstraining.

Good luck on your long run tomorrow. Its nice to be getting these out of the way and slowing down the next couple weeks!

I have no doubt that you will be AWESOME at St. Geogre. I'm looking forward to tomorrow. I'm thinking of trying pizza tonight. I'm hoping it works so I don't have to take Top Ramen to SG.

Julie-I really hope the pizza works so we can go eat pizza on Oct. 3. Too bad they don't have a California Pizza Kitchen in SG. I tell ya, pizza is the dinner of champions:)

Julie already invited me to stay with the BBs.

I like pizza that night before. I really wanted some tonight, but I am not going on a long run so I could not justify it.

Good luck tomorrow and you will do more than fine in St George---I have seen you run!
