Short-Term Running Goals:

I've gotten the running bug back and hope I can continue to enjoy it. I think for now, my short-term goal is to NOT burn myself out. I am pro at doing that. I have a half and full marathon that I am planning on racing in a few months. I hope to be trained well enough to PR in both, but if not...I will enjoy the ride.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Under 1:30 half

3:15 marathon

Decided to go to the gym and do step. I keep saying NO MORE until after the marathon cuz I don't want to risk getting injured but I LOVE step. It is so much fun. That is all I did so I figure 1 hour=6.0 miles. Fun class. Kind of a bummer though, a girl turned her ankle and biffed it hard today. She fell on the girl next to hers step. It made me nervous thinking I may to the same thing but I left with no injuries. I WILL NOT do it next week though. Strictly running from here on out:)

It is good to be careful. I hurt my big toe in Step the Wednesday right before this year's Ogden Marathon. That killed my Ogden run. Halfway through the marathon, as a result of having been compensating for the toe injury other parts of my legs were totally out of whack and I developed muscle strains. It's the only time I thought, should I even finish the marathon or am I going to injure myself severely. I just shut down and finished with a terrible time.

Hey, I said the same thing about this week, but I have gone to all of my classes as well. I probably will next week, too! Okay, maybe not. We will see!

I am not glad that anyone got hurt, but really glad that it was not you!

Psul-I tell ya, I was very nervous about getting hurt. Ashli is a great, fun instructor but sometimes jumps and turns a little too much. Just glad I walked out feeling great. Whew!!!

Kelli-No more classes for you either. Let your bod start storing up some glycogen. You're gonna need it. Plus, you don't wanna get hurt and regret it. Listen to me, lecturing you after I just went to class.

Are you sure you didn't push her? Now that I think about it, maybe that's what happened to me yesterday. :) I'm glad you had a good class. I'll see you in the morning.
