I've gotten the running bug back and hope I can continue to enjoy it. I think for now, my short-term goal is to NOT burn myself out. I am pro at doing that. I have a half and full marathon that I am planning on racing in a few months. I hope to be trained well enough to PR in both, but if not...I will enjoy the ride.

3:15 marathon

I went to the gym and the step instructor (Ashli) wasn't there. There was a sub but I've done her classes before and not liked them. Anyway, I lasted 25 minutes and had had enough. She was doing tons of dancing type stuff and aahhh, I didn't like it. I'll count 2 1/2 for the 25 minutes, then I jumped on the stairmaster for 2 3/4 miles and finished on the treadmill with an 8 minute mile and cooled down for 1/4. Not the workout I had in mind but it was alright. I would've done more running but I was wearing cross-trainers and didn't dare do any signifiant miliage in them. Finished up with some legs but didn't get to do all I wanted because the child center called me down. Another little boy had thrown a truck at my 2 year old in the face and he wouldn't stop crying. Man my kids are perfect, who's kid was this? J/K! My kids are far from perfect and I'm a far from perfect mom.

Speaking as a perfect mother of two perfect kids, you did everything right (feel better?)

I went to a step class to try it out and they did all these salsa dance moves and people were partnering up and trading steps mid-move... man. I felt like the biggest idiot. I can step. And I can dance. But I have no idea what was going on in there. And it felt so stupid to just shrug and grin and walk out.

Sorry about the sub. That stinks. But nice workout. Hope your 2 year old was okay.
