So, no running for me today. Wanna know why? I have a major chaffing (sp?) problem from my sports bras under my boobs. Over share probably. Actually the chaffing started to get better but I think I was allergic to something I put on it and now I have this REALLY ITCHY rash there. It is making me crazy. I couldn't sleep last night very well because it itched so bad. I just read online that I could use hydrocortizone cream and it may help it heal. My kids have eczema and I have a presription of some really good stuff that we put on them so I just applied my first bit so we'll see if it helps. If anyone has any wisdom or knowledge in this area let me know. I feel like a total butthead. I'm not injured dangit but can't run without a bra or I might knock someone out!

I've got the same problem on and off again. I've used either body glide or vasoline along my bra line to reduce chaffeing. I also had to change my sports bra. I've had the best luck with Champion Sports bras. Twice a year the Champion website has bra sales so you can pick up a sports bra for $20 vs the normal $25-40 price.

Thanks Deborah. I also have had this problem for a while but this is the first time I've gotter a major rash. I sure don't want to have it happen again so I will check it out. Thanks again.

Oh my!!! Thank you so much for the laugh for the day!! Now, I am not laughing at your problem, just that you will knock people out if you run. I have always worried about knocking myself out!

I am so sorry about that, I can totally relate. And I do not get why it itches. Mine totally itches and it drives me nuts and it is so red and OUCHY (if I had your flat belly, I would show ya!) I think the sprinting we did yesterday did not help---sprinting just makes those things bounce all over the place!

So, try the deodorant thing. I have a few times and it helped (I just forget most of the time). And I have to agree on the champion bras. Of all the bras, they seem to be the best---but obviously not perfect since I have the same issues! Us "blessed" people just need to create our own bra!

Have fun on that bike!

I feel a bit sheepish being the only guy on here or at least the only one to admit his fettish with boobs. lol I feel like a perv making a comment here michelle, NOT. This is very interresting talk we have going on here, boobs and bras. We all have different areas that need special attention. (did that sound like a high school health class comment) We get it too. I feel bad for the guys that always come into the finish line bleeding. Oooh son of a B thats going to leave a mark. Good luck with all that Michelle. lol

Yes, Walter, but men can wear band-aids. That will not quite work in this situation!

So michelle after Bryce I had a just a little chaffing, not bad but it turned into an infection.I went to my friends husband at their house on a sunday night (he is PA at a dermotoligists office) and he put me on an oral antibiotic and precription cream to put on. That got rid of it. I put alot of vaseline on and that helps prevent it.

What a topic - Being less "blessed" I have less of a problem which this is one of the very few times I have been glad to be "less blessed" I have used the deodorant though with certain items that I know I have more of an issue with and I too love the Champion bras

From Julie on Wed, Sep 10, 2008 at 20:18:01

Michelle, that is so miserable. I hope you get it cleared up soon. You could run bra less on my treadmill if you need to.

From walter on Wed, Sep 10, 2008 at 20:19:03

As said I should have kept my nose out of this situation. I feel like I just called Dr. Laura! Not recommended if your of the male species.

I hope that link works If not, it is called the Champion Powersleek Bra)---but this bra has been voted the best for larger chested women by runner's world and a few other magazines. Like I said, I have issues when I sprint, but otherwise I am pretty good. It is the best of all of the bras I have ever tried.
