So, went to the track again this morning and had taken a couple Ibuprofen before hand because the ankle was a little sore yesterday and this morning but I figured it was just cuz I hadn't run in a few weeks and it was wiggling things around. First lap I felt a sharp pain right in front of my ankle and considered stopping but thought I'd give it a little bit since I was up and there. By the 2nd-3rd lap, it started mellowing out. I thought that it had loosened up and the IB had started helping. Ran comfortable and felt really good but when I finished up, the ankle REALLY started aching:( I have put it off long enough so decided I would stop at InstaCare on my way home. Whelp...I have a pretty good chunk of bone broken off of my ankle. The doc said it has started healing pretty decently but said it needs another 3 weeks or so before I start running or anything else:( Just my luck dangit!!! I'm trying to see positive in this but...is there anything positive about a broken bone? Oh well, such is life...I guess I will have to sit on my can and heal up. |
