I've gotten the running bug back and hope I can continue to enjoy it. I think for now, my short-term goal is to NOT burn myself out. I am pro at doing that. I have a half and full marathon that I am planning on racing in a few months. I hope to be trained well enough to PR in both, but if not...I will enjoy the ride.

You deserve a day off---late birthday present to yourself! Enjoy it and rest up for that 20. OUCH!!!

Where do you put in 20 around here, anyway??

From Michelle N. on Fri, Aug 15, 2008 at 14:12:26

We are probably going to go up to Wasatch Blvd. and go out 10 and come back. It is tough the first 10 cuz there is SO MUCH uphill. We did it the past 2 Saturdays and I think it helps but it really sucks while you are doing it, especially since Julie is SO good on uphhill. I do okay but she really is amazing on.

By the way, nice job today. You did awesome. I have to totally plan my nutrition and rest the day before my long runs. Are you doing Hobble Creek? Is there a marathon in the works?

From MarcieJ on Fri, Aug 15, 2008 at 14:20:46

So smart to listen to your body and take a day off if you really feel you need it. I tend to get more nagging injuries when I am exhausted and try to still run to get the miles. Have fun on your long run tomorrow. Sounds tough!!!

From Kelli on Fri, Aug 15, 2008 at 16:18:13

I am running Hobble Creek and the St George marathon. I just hope I at least can match my time from last year's TOU.

Did I meet Julie? I was so tired and it was dark, so I have no clue who was there the other morning.

Hey Michelle, I just realized that you were on our 'Spit Happens' team. That's cool that you're on the blog.

Good luck on your long run tomorrow! A day off here and there can do wonders.

Kelli-Julie was running with me most of the. I think you met her??? She is one of the nicest people EVER. You will do great at Hobble Creek and SG.

Cal-Great to hear from you. I figured this blog would really get my butt in gear. So far so good. Are you running Hobble Creek?

From Kelli on Fri, Aug 15, 2008 at 18:17:24

Is she the one with the daughter who will be in 10th grade at Riverton this next year?

From Julie on Fri, Aug 15, 2008 at 18:32:44

Michelle, you are so sweet. Thanks for all the nice things you said about me. I really look forward to running with YOU more than I do the actual 20 mile run.

Kelli, I did meet you. Hopefully you come again so I can talk to you more.

From Michelle N. on Fri, Aug 15, 2008 at 19:03:59

Kelli-Yes, she is the one with the daughter in 10th.

Julie-See, you are one of the nicest people ever. I'll call you in a bit about our route. I am going to go drive up that way to see what I think.
