Ran Boston in April 2009 and had an absolute blast.
Half Marathon PR 1:35.
10k PR-46:20 (Obviously not a great short distance runner:)
Short-Term Running Goals:
I've gotten the running bug back and hope I can continue to enjoy it. I think for now, my short-term goal is to NOT burn myself out. I am pro at doing that. I have a half and full marathon that I am planning on racing in a few months. I hope to be trained well enough to PR in both, but if not...I will enjoy the ride.
Long-Term Running Goals:
Under 1:30 half
3:15 marathon
Personal:
Married with children. 17,16,14,11 and 7. 3 boys, 2 girls. I have the best husband in the world!
Well, I was quite tired when I went to bed last night and woke up feeling pretty decent but decided to take today off in preparation for tomorrow's 20.
We are probably going to go up to Wasatch Blvd. and go out 10 and come back. It is tough the first 10 cuz there is SO MUCH uphill. We did it the past 2 Saturdays and I think it helps but it really sucks while you are doing it, especially since Julie is SO good on uphhill. I do okay but she really is amazing on.
By the way, nice job today. You did awesome. I have to totally plan my nutrition and rest the day before my long runs. Are you doing Hobble Creek? Is there a marathon in the works?
So smart to listen to your body and take a day off if you really feel you need it. I tend to get more nagging injuries when I am exhausted and try to still run to get the miles. Have fun on your long run tomorrow. Sounds tough!!!
Michelle, you are so sweet. Thanks for all the nice things you said about me. I really look forward to running with YOU more than I do the actual 20 mile run.
Kelli, I did meet you. Hopefully you come again so I can talk to you more.
Kelli-Yes, she is the one with the daughter in 10th.
Julie-See, you are one of the nicest people ever. I'll call you in a bit about our route. I am going to go drive up that way to see what I think.
