Ran Boston in April 2009 and had an absolute blast.
Half Marathon PR 1:35.
10k PR-46:20 (Obviously not a great short distance runner:)
Short-Term Running Goals:
I've gotten the running bug back and hope I can continue to enjoy it. I think for now, my short-term goal is to NOT burn myself out. I am pro at doing that. I have a half and full marathon that I am planning on racing in a few months. I hope to be trained well enough to PR in both, but if not...I will enjoy the ride.
Long-Term Running Goals:
Under 1:30 half
3:15 marathon
Personal:
Married with children. 17,16,14,11 and 7. 3 boys, 2 girls. I have the best husband in the world!
Went to the gym to do a Fusion class (yoga, pilates combo). It was so nice to stretch good. It was a little tough though. It's weird that when you haven't done Yoga for a while how hard it is. I need to get back in the habit of going once a week.
I have a strange question. I would like to improve my flexibility and core strength and figured that yoga is a great way to accomplish that. My concern is that I don't want to be the creepy old guy in the class. Are there usually guys in the classes?
The class I went to yesterday was about half and half. I think men are finding it very useful. I do a lot of core but not enough yoga but I think it helps a ton. Give it a try. I think you'll be amazed at how good you'll feel you old guy:)
