Ran Boston in April 2009 and had an absolute blast.
Half Marathon PR 1:35.
10k PR-46:20 (Obviously not a great short distance runner:)
Short-Term Running Goals: I've gotten the running bug back and hope I can continue to enjoy it. I think for now, my short-term goal is to NOT burn myself out. I am pro at doing that. I have a half and full marathon that I am planning on racing in a few months. I hope to be trained well enough to PR in both, but if not...I will enjoy the ride. Long-Term Running Goals: Under 1:30 half
3:15 marathon
Personal: Married with children. 17,16,14,11 and 7. 3 boys, 2 girls. I have the best husband in the world! |

| Went to the gym bright and early this morning. Actually, it was dark and early:) I've decided to get my workouts done earlier so I don't feel like it is controlling my days. Anyway, I did 4.2 miles and then had to go potty so I decided to do some lower body and abs in the middle of my run and break up the treadmill bore a little. Got back on the treadmill for another 2.3. Overall pace was around 8:45. Felt a little pooped today. I'm sure it is all the sugar I've been eating. NO MORE! |

Met up with the BBK's this morning at 5:45. Ran through Parkway Palisades towards Riverton and back. Did some hill repeats (ugh!) and there were other hills also. I felt kind of crappy today. Hopefully some consistancy will cure that. Overall pace was kind of slow 9:07. Oh well, I'm building my base, right?
Oh, we had 2 owies this morning. Cheryl fell hard with about 1 mile to go and Peggy fell at the very end. My heart can't handle these falls and it isn't even me. |

I was going to run outside today but I decided that the step class would be fun so I headed to the gym and did the 75 minute travel step interval class and wowwie! I felt like I had just run a half marathon. I'm pooped (thats for you Burt)! If I was going to count miles, I'd say it was equivelant to 9 miles.
HAPPY NEW YEARS TO EVERYONE!!!

| Met Julie at her house at 6:30 and started running north out to 11800 So. and discovered that there wasn't any shoulder to run on so we decided to head back and run down to the trail. We made it about 2 1/2 out on the trail and it wasn't plowed so we turned around. We had planned on 12 or 13 but by the time we got back to her street, we decided to call it quits. The wind was a killer today. It was warm, which was nice, but the wind was soooo bad. It always amazes me how much it takes out of me. I'm not sure what the overall pace was. I'm thinking around 9:00-9:10. A little slow but it sure didn't feel like it. All in all the run kind of sucked but as usual, the company was great! |
