Short-Term Running Goals:

I've gotten the running bug back and hope I can continue to enjoy it. I think for now, my short-term goal is to NOT burn myself out. I am pro at doing that. I have a half and full marathon that I am planning on racing in a few months. I hope to be trained well enough to PR in both, but if not...I will enjoy the ride.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Under 1:30 half

3:15 marathon

Married with children. 17,16,14,11 and 7. 3 boys, 2 girls. I have the best husband in the world!

Met the BBK's (and my hubby) at the JRP trail. Warmed up with some of the crew for 2.7 and then the rest of the group got there and warmed up an additional mile. The main workout consisted of 2 minutes at marathon pace/1 minute at 5k pace for about 2 miles. We had the option do do the same thing on the way back or do a tempo run. I opted for the tempo because I had to go potty BAD! Jared (my hubby) stopped at Lifetime Fitness to go shower at about 7.75 miles and I continued on for another 1 1/2. Overall pace wasn't too impressive but the quick miles were all below 8:00.

It's fun to have Jared come with and he did so good. He ran with Walter for a bit but Walter wasn't running fast today. But still, I'm impressed for a guy that hardly runs. I think he has real potential to be a good runner if he wanted to try. He really likes the group so maybe that'll be motivation for him.

Thanks Jody and Walter for the company during the tough part. I also got to run with Cheris and Michelle and Julie. Great company today!

PM-Played ward basketball for 45 minutes so I'm going to count 2 more threshold miles.

Sounds like i missed out on another good run run today. I'm jealous that you already got in your 9.3 for the day and i haven't done anything yet.

You'll get it in later I'm sure. You really should come back and join us. We've had some great runs lately.

So great to catch up today! I really think we should have Walter pace us every day - it much easier just trying to keep up than worry about the pace. Great to know there were some miles under 8 - I really didn't think we were that fast.

Great company is what makes a great run! I wish my hubby would run accross the street with me :) Don't ask Kelli about getting your husband in the group...she'll tell you how much she 'loves' having Scott run :) Great job this morning, all you ladies are so speedy...even pushing I could barely keep up with you!
