Short-Term Running Goals:

I've gotten the running bug back and hope I can continue to enjoy it. I think for now, my short-term goal is to NOT burn myself out. I am pro at doing that. I have a half and full marathon that I am planning on racing in a few months. I hope to be trained well enough to PR in both, but if not...I will enjoy the ride.

Under 1:30 half

3:15 marathon

Met at Cheris's house this morning at 6:30. Julie, Michelle, Cheris, Dean, Eric, Allen, and Kimberly all came. The route we ran is mostly uphill the first 10 miles and then gradual down the rest of the way. I was HAMMERED at about mile 4 and fell back a bit. Our first 9 miles or so were around 9:00 and then we settled down into the low 8's. Overall pace averaged at 8:52. I took sport beans at 6 and hammer gel at 12. I got home and have been completely lazy today. I haven't been this beat up after a run ever. I did up my miles and speed this week so maybe that was the problem:)  Also got up in the 4 o'clock hour 2 days and earlier than normal the rest of the days. Hopefully I can start feeling better.

GREAT JOB!!! We did miss you, but the trail was icey so I am glad you did not come! Come when it is not icey and more fun!

WOW! I'm so impressed with your times. If I wasn't so excited about the Lehi trail I would've been with you. However, today I just wasn't feeling well and you guys were booking it, especially with hills, for me! I would've been all alone or holding you back, so I guess its good I ended up where I did. Have a great weekend and we'll see you on Tuesday :)

Michelle,

Sorry it was rough this morning. I could tell you were spent but man… you are TOUGH! I think I would have called my wife to pick me up but you just hung in there. Thanks for being such a picture of strength. Also, I heard some rumblings about your Half-Marathon in Hawaii, sounds like you performed incredibly!

Anyways, great to see you and the group this morning. Also, it was nice to take these long miles at a comfortable speed, I think the fast stuff will come in time.

Thanks Kelli, Rachel, and Eric. I feel much better today thank goodness. I was pretty beat up yesterday but I had a great night sleep and even slept in this morning and I feel like I'm ready to go again:)

Found it!! How did I miss that?

You are so stinkin' tough Michelle!

Congrats on your AWESOME placings for that race ... especially considering you had run Painter's one week before. You are AMAZING!!
