Short-Term Running Goals:

I've gotten the running bug back and hope I can continue to enjoy it. I think for now, my short-term goal is to NOT burn myself out. I am pro at doing that. I have a half and full marathon that I am planning on racing in a few months. I hope to be trained well enough to PR in both, but if not...I will enjoy the ride.

Under 1:30 half

3:15 marathon

Met at Michelle M.'s house this morning at 7:00 and headed to JRP Trail and headed to 9800 S. and back out to 2700 W. and ended back at Michelle's. We did a progressive tempo run after warming up for 3 miles. Did some miles at Boston projected pace and some at our SG projected pace for this year. I felt decent but the hamstrings were a little achy pretty quick into the run. Dean, Michelle M., Michelle P., Cheris, Julie, Jody and me all ran together and Kris, Eric, Alan and Kimberly were shortly behind us. Overall pace was 8:35 with warm up and cool down. Middle miles were some in the 7:40 range and others around 8:00 or so.

Such dedication. Good job.

Wow, tempo on a long run!?! You guys are animals. Great job keeping up the pace and pushing through. I went alone today, certainly missed good company. My MP3 player just got annoying sometimes...people don't do that, we usually run out of stuff to talk about before then :)

Great run. Who is this Michelle P? I know you and Michelle M., but not a Michelle P.

Man alive Michelle!! Running your middle miles in the 7:40 range ... you are going to have a FANTASTIC racing season! That is some serious speed my friend!! :)

Hope you are having a great weekend.

Thanks Paul and Rachel!

Cheryl, Nancy M. invited her to join us when we did the Riverton 1/2 route. She seems like a great runner. She is a teacher at SJ Middle. Very nice lady.

Teena, where the heck are you? I hope all is well and you are healing. Take care of yourself. We miss you!
