I've gotten the running bug back and hope I can continue to enjoy it. I think for now, my short-term goal is to NOT burn myself out. I am pro at doing that. I have a half and full marathon that I am planning on racing in a few months. I hope to be trained well enough to PR in both, but if not...I will enjoy the ride.

3:15 marathon

AM-Taught first Step Class early this morning. It went well and I had way more people than Monday. Most of the women are new to step so it was pretty basic and I think I'll only count 3 miles for the whole hour. I am going to the gym to do Ashli's Step though and I'll try to get a few running miles in also.

Later AM-Went to the gym and did a killer step class. Dana was subbing for Ashli and we were just under threshold most of the class.

If you weren't doing step at your other gym you could have "volunteered" to lead the 6:00 a.m. class at Lifetime since they are canceling it while Jody is gone.

It's all good, I'll just get in more miles.

I'm so glad that your class went well. You'll have to tell me all about it.

Michelle, I'm so sorry I missed your class this morning! I had full intentions of coming, but I'm still feeling rather sleepy and lazy while I catch up on sleep. Plus I was dreading having to wake up early tomorrow for running group. I can't believe you did 2 classes. Great job! I'll see you tomorrow.

Did you do a bunch of "fire fire"?

From Michelle N. on Wed, Feb 18, 2009 at 14:45:08

No Paul, no fire fire. That was a little complicated:) LOTS of corner knees and turn steps to break up the combos. Oh, although, Dana did do a lot of FIRE, FIRES in her class:)

SO, how many people??? Would I be wasting time by coming Friday (not that you are not a killer teacher, just that you have to slow down for the new gals)? Maybe I should wait until later when all of these new girls get it.

I am debating about Friday. With a long run on Saturday and my legs already tired, I am not sure if I can do it!! You are the buff machine so I know you will kill my legs. I am thinking on it, otherwise I do nothing on Fridays!

It isn't step on Friday so I won't be taking it too easy and you can work at your own level. Lots of weight. Come, it will be fun but don't feel pressured, I know it sucks before a long run.

How many squats and lunges will I have to do? I am a WIMP!
