Short-Term Running Goals:

I've gotten the running bug back and hope I can continue to enjoy it. I think for now, my short-term goal is to NOT burn myself out. I am pro at doing that. I have a half and full marathon that I am planning on racing in a few months. I hope to be trained well enough to PR in both, but if not...I will enjoy the ride.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Under 1:30 half

3:15 marathon

First of all, I am SO sore from my class yesterday. If I'm this sore, I wonder how the poor girls that were there are feeling. I thought about staying in bed when I woke up at 4:45 but knew running would help with the soreness.

Met the BBK's in SJ near the Daybreak Temple. We warmed up for 4 miles or so and then did a 10k pace for a bit which didn't end up being very fast for me today. We did a tempo pace that ended up being just over 8:00 then went back near our cars and did some hill repeats. I pushed a little harder today but still not all out. Babying the hammy still. Did another cooldown mile. The conditions were AWFUL today. Windy, snowing, slippery, cold. Did I miss anything? Days like this make me extra grateful to have such an awesome running group to get me moving! Oh, I did miss something, I had an upset stomach.

Yeah, there's no way I would have been out there in that mess this morning without the running group. It was fun seeing you. Take care of that hammy, you're fast now, you'll be super fast when that's all better.

Oh my. And I was worried about a little sprinkle here.

So, do you think those ladies will come back to Nazi Workout Lady's class?

From Kelli on Tue, Feb 17, 2009 at 14:41:11

THEY'LL BE BACK!

If you say that the snow was pelting our face sideways that adds a little to it. THAT DANG WIND! I am so ready to go join Burt in the warmth that he calls cold!

Great job today! There is something in the air affecting stomachs for sure, stay well!!!

Michelle - Way to kick it these past couple days! I'm excited to try the class tomorrow now that I'm back. I've loved this running group and brag about it to anyone that will listen! Its all of you that give me the strength and push to run most days! I'm glad I had my late flight (I got to bed at 2 AM) to blame for missing group this morning, after hearing all the snow stories I'm glad I slept :)

Hey all you BBK's or whatever you call yourselves should watch it, dont you know that it is the cold and flu season? By the way, isn't a bbk a burger at burger king? Seriously, you are my favorite sister, you are so much better than my other sisters. Love big brother.

From Michelle N. on Tue, Feb 17, 2009 at 18:12:23

CJ-You better come meet all the Bingham Butt Kickers some day so they all know you are a big joker. And for everyone else, I am his ONLY sister:)

From Burt on Tue, Feb 17, 2009 at 18:12:47

Pretty sure I've heard Michelle mention on numerous occasions that she's only girl in her family of like 5 brothers. LOL.

From peej on Tue, Feb 17, 2009 at 18:16:54

Well you may be my only sister, but you still are my favorite. I need to go now, a 6 miler is calling my name with a 20 bike ride chaser. Oh how I long for June 22, 2009. (that is the day after the ironman)

From Burt on Tue, Feb 17, 2009 at 18:19:11

Michelle, you beat me with that comment by 24 seconds. :)

From Julie on Tue, Feb 17, 2009 at 20:48:13

Great job today Michelle. I bet your class was awesome. If you're sore, I can't imagine how those other ladies feel. I'm sure they will be back.
