Ran Boston in April 2009 and had an absolute blast.

Half Marathon PR 1:35.

10k PR-46:20 (Obviously not a great short distance runner:)

 

Short-Term Running Goals:

I've gotten the running bug back and hope I can continue to enjoy it. I think for now, my short-term goal is to NOT burn myself out. I am pro at doing that. I have a half and full marathon that I am planning on racing in a few months. I hope to be trained well enough to PR in both, but if not...I will enjoy the ride.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Under 1:30 half

3:15 marathon

I've decided that part of my lack of motivation is that I haven't been doing any cross-training like I normally do so, I decided to go to step class today. It was fun and a butt kicker of a workout! Now, if I can get my sorry butt to go to running group tomorrow...

Nice job on 6 miles AND step! I think cross training helps a lot. Even though I never do it I need to.

Michelle, that is one thing i have totally fallen short in... cross training! My times havnt come down from last year when I was heavy into it to. It does help. Ill see your sorry butt tomorrow. Its closer to your house this time.

How are ya doing? Are all of your kids in school? At least preschool? My youngest starts on the 9th and i am going to try to go do some nice FUN afternoon runs (when it cools down) to try to find my love for running again. You should come join me!

I love cross training and classes and MISS them far more than running. BUT, it is the opinion of both doctors that it was most likely step that hurt my foot so I am staying far away. maybe I will go back to kickboxing, though!
