Short-Term Running Goals:

I've gotten the running bug back and hope I can continue to enjoy it. I think for now, my short-term goal is to NOT burn myself out. I am pro at doing that. I have a half and full marathon that I am planning on racing in a few months. I hope to be trained well enough to PR in both, but if not...I will enjoy the ride.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Under 1:30 half

3:15 marathon

I went to teach my class this morning and only one girl showed up so she said she'd jump on the treadmill so I didn't have to just teach 1 person. So, I got to come back home and sleep for another hour.

I headed to the gym and did Ashli's step class. I haven't done it forever and it was fun to just participate:)

PM-Pre-blog for teaching barbell class tonight.

ps that's cool that you're the race director! but the map on the webpage isn't very readable. what's the address of the start/finish area?

I actually don't have your shirt yet. I've been a slacker and haven't been to the running group yet. I am going in the morning so I will have it then.

The race starts at 14400 SO. 2200 W. The first 2 of the 10k is slightly up and then it is gradually down the rest of the way. It should be fun.

Where'd ya go? Are you okay? Nothings hurting I hope!

I'm alright. I've had really bad allergies this past week and haven't been sleeping very well. I actually didn't even go teach my class this morning. I am planning to meet the running group tomorrow morning but I'll have to see. Typically, my allergies act up mid May-mid June. I hope it ends soon. Last year I got 2 sinus infections during taht time. It is amazing how much it takes out of me. Thanks for thinking of me. I'm trying to get back on top but I get kind of burned out this time of year also. I feel like I am starting over again.

How are you feeling? Are you recovering well from the marathon?

From britta on Mon, Jun 01, 2009 at 12:44:56 from 66.74.236.175

OH I am so sorry. I have allergies too and they do wipe you out. Take it easy and rest up. Maybe this is the perfect thing for you leg.

Today I feel much better. This has been one of my longer recoveries. I am not sure why.

Boo to allergies!
