Short-Term Running Goals:

I've gotten the running bug back and hope I can continue to enjoy it. I think for now, my short-term goal is to NOT burn myself out. I am pro at doing that. I have a half and full marathon that I am planning on racing in a few months. I hope to be trained well enough to PR in both, but if not...I will enjoy the ride.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Under 1:30 half

3:15 marathon

Met the BBK's this morning at Bingham High and ran an easy paced 5 miles. It felt so good to be out running. The temp was so nice. The leg felt good. I could feel a little tightness but no pain. Our overall pace was 9:39. I planned on only doing 3-4 but with the road construction on 10600 So., we took back roads and I didn't know my way back. Oh well, 5 felt good:)

Good running Michelle. I'm happy that your leg felt alright.

Nice you got back without overdoing it.

Thanks Cal! I am happy also.

Paul-This is an area I don't mess with. I don't want to be out all summer so I am really trying to be smart about getting back into things. I've got WBR next month so I do need to build up some mileage and speed but...babysteps:)

Good for you to be able to put a few miles in. I'm sure that felt good. Beautiful morning!

It felt awesome and I can't wait to get out again on Saturday. I may even run a couple slow miles tomorrow. How is your leg doing? I hope some time off will get it better fast:)

Yeah! I'm so happy you could run pain free! It's so hard to know how hard to push yourself when you are trying to build up mileage but not re-injured. . . take it easy! Running is the best!

Michelle, you've been so smart with your injury! I'm glad its coming back well for you. I had such a GREAT run with everyone this morning, I'm finally feeling ready for Ogden!

Good job, Michelle. I'm glad everything felt ok. That was a fun run this morning. I wish we could run like that every time.

Thanks guys! Good luck Kelli. Jody, I hope your leg is feeling better and that you'll be back next week also. I'm planning on it.

Cheryl, I hear ya. It would be nice to not be so worried about a time and just really enjoy running for what it is. It was so nice to just be able to run that I didn't even care at all about my pace. That's a first:)
