I've gotten the running bug back and hope I can continue to enjoy it. I think for now, my short-term goal is to NOT burn myself out. I am pro at doing that. I have a half and full marathon that I am planning on racing in a few months. I hope to be trained well enough to PR in both, but if not...I will enjoy the ride.

Under 1:30 half

3:15 marathon

Met Julie this morning to clock the Bluffdale 10K. Actually we were going to do both the 10K and the 5K but we were both beat and decided to just do the 10K. Kind of tired and overall pace was around 9:00 and ended with 6.88 miles. We got back to the car and Julie had dropped her key somewhere and I had locked my keys in her car so we called my hubby and he brought a spare and we went back to where we thought she'd lost it and WALLA, there it was. We had some good laughs:) We ended up being off on the route and I was stressed about it so I got home and asked Jared to go with me on our bikes and reclock it. We got it right. I ended up with another hour of biking so I am counting 6 more miles for that but I figured I would just round it to 12 overall miles. I decided that I really HATE biking. I couldn't find my cycling shoes, I think I left them at the gym. Oops! So I had to ride my daughters bike and it just overall sucked. I think I work harder and go slower uphill riding a bike than when I run up a hill. Just a thought:)

I am not sure about biking, I have only done it at the gym. Outside biking seems hard, but I want to give it a try. but you need special shoes??? Man, everything costs money!

So, how is the course? Where does it go? Is it hard?

I feel the same way on a bike, sometimes when I ride home from the gym I think "man, I could run faster than this!" I'm excited for the race...when is it? I should probably know this, sorry.

Kelli, you don't have to have cycle shoes but I do and my bike has clips for my shoes so without my shoes it would've been hard to ride. The shoes make riding a lot nicer.

Rachel, the race is the June 13th and it is a decent course. It starts gradual up but ends down.
