Short-Term Running Goals:

I've gotten the running bug back and hope I can continue to enjoy it. I think for now, my short-term goal is to NOT burn myself out. I am pro at doing that. I have a half and full marathon that I am planning on racing in a few months. I hope to be trained well enough to PR in both, but if not...I will enjoy the ride.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Under 1:30 half

3:15 marathon

Picked up my bro and Julie and met Teena, Smooth, Nancy, Josh and a few others. We ran on the JRP. It was a blast. I love these ladies (and dudes). It was a comfortable pace. We really picked it up the last 6 miles. Actually felt really great, especially considering how crappy I felt yesterday. AP 8:58

Good job. Right now I am just *ticked* I could not come, but I am glad you guys had fun!!!

Had to edit that to be more family friendly!!!

Ummm, I think your okay to say pissed if you need to. I know that's how I felt with my leg this spring. It kind of makes you grateful to be able to do things though.

From Kelli on Sat, Jul 25, 2009 at 13:54:01 from 71.219.89.21

I am wallowing in self pity right now, but I will get over it. I am more upset with the weight I have gained in two weeks than I am with not being able to run, but it is all related.

Injuries suck, but this to shall pass!!!!

Believe me, I know! I gained so much weight while I was injured. It sucks. Hang in there and try to get better.

I know, I know....

I will be fine soon and back running with you guys. Until then, I can read about all of your fabulous running!!!

Look back at my blog during my injury. I stayed away because: 1-I wanted to run SOOOO bad and 2-It started to make me depressed (literally). Injuries are tough dangit but you'll get there. Missed ya though.

From Kelli on Sat, Jul 25, 2009 at 14:00:58 from 71.219.89.21

I am blaming the depression on PMS. Maybe I should blame the weight gain on that, too?!?

From Shimelle on Sat, Jul 25, 2009 at 14:06:43 from 75.162.225.27

That's for sure! I don't know about you but I eat like a horse while I'm PMSing and always gain a couple pounds and then lose it and then gain it and then lose it.........

Nice job this morning Michelle! I'm glad you're feeling better from yesterday. I'm just nodding my head reading all of your and Kelli's comments - Stinky women!! :)

Trying to figure out whether to respond to your blog entry or the following commentary.

Okay:

Blog entry: YOU are incredible my friend!!! You looked as if you hadn't raced at all yesterday!! Now that is strength!! Nice job.

Commentary: Not quite sure what to say other than injuries are so tough to deal with. At least for me. Hang in there Kelli. :)

From Smooth on Sun, Jul 26, 2009 at 14:00:06 from 71.35.210.4

Michelle,

THANKS for running with me yesterday. It was so fun hanging with you and your brother. You are such a great friend to so many. I'm glad I got to know you. Wish I could run as beautiful as you.

Kelli,

So so so so sorry about the injury and PMSing. Xtraining will help (though I don't know how to do any). You are strong and will overcome this road block.
