I've gotten the running bug back and hope I can continue to enjoy it. I think for now, my short-term goal is to NOT burn myself out. I am pro at doing that. I have a half and full marathon that I am planning on racing in a few months. I hope to be trained well enough to PR in both, but if not...I will enjoy the ride.

3:15 marathon

Met the BBK's this morning at Bingham Track. We warmed up for 3 miles off the track and 1 mile on AP 9:10. The speed consisted of a 5k broken up 400, 800, 3x1000 (all with 200 recoveries and they were SLOW recoveries around 10:00+ pace) then a 2 mile tempo off track. We came back to the track and we were supposed to do another 400 and 200 to finish off the 5k but I needed to cooldown and didn't have time to do both so I finished and hurried home. AP for the speed (with recoveries and cooldown) 8:05.

1-7:33, 2-7:34, 3-7:49, 4-8:31, 5-8:01, 6-8:54 (included cooldown)

All in all I felt pretty good today but I definitely could feel my race from Friday. Heavy legs, heavy breathing. Someday, hopefully soon, I'll get back to normal.

Did core work, back and biceps and some good stretching.

Very nice speedwork and tempo miles. You did core and some weights after? WOW! I just want to take a nap after that many miles! You're doing great. I am sure you will be back to your former tip top speedy self real soon. GOOD JOB!!!!
