Short-Term Running Goals:

I've gotten the running bug back and hope I can continue to enjoy it. I think for now, my short-term goal is to NOT burn myself out. I am pro at doing that. I have a half and full marathon that I am planning on racing in a few months. I hope to be trained well enough to PR in both, but if not...I will enjoy the ride.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Under 1:30 half

3:15 marathon

Met a bunch of the BBK's this morning at Dean and Kris's house. We ran "THE BEST RUN EVER" according to Dean:) It was nice. I didn't get into my groove this morning until way late. We warmed up for 3 miles and then started a nice tempo pace but it felt hard to me. We got to our half way point and Dean had parked a car full of goodies for us. We stopped and refueled and started to get cold. Shaun and Lynette were heading back in the car and I felt so yucky that I jumped in the back seat with them but as soon as I did, I regretted it. I had them drop me off at Peterson's Market in Riverton and I ran up 12600 So. to the trail and started to run south until I saw Scott and Kelli. I turned around and finished with the group. They all had around 13.1 and I only had 11.5. Oh well. I guess we all have our days. I really think I over did it this week with the plyometric moves in step and total body. I am definitely feeling it. I HAVE to back off a little in my classes or I think my running is really going to suffer. Too much for my old legs. Average pace with warm up and cooldown was 8:22. All the fast miles were right around 8:00ish.

Those are some beauteous miles :) YOU ARE NOT OLD!!! You must say, "I am YOUNG and AMAZING" 10 times every time you think you are old. 50 times if you say you are old out loud or type it! ;)

If you are old, I am screwed! You did awesome, they did run VERY fast today for a long run, and you DID come back, so all is well!

It was great to see you again today!!

I know this is late, but good run. I'm impressed that you got out of the car and ran back to the group! Very difficult to do!

Thanks guys! If I hadn't gone back to the group, I would have beat myself up all day. The life of being a running (or exercise) addict:)
