I've gotten the running bug back and hope I can continue to enjoy it. I think for now, my short-term goal is to NOT burn myself out. I am pro at doing that. I have a half and full marathon that I am planning on racing in a few months. I hope to be trained well enough to PR in both, but if not...I will enjoy the ride.

Under 1:30 half

3:15 marathon

I set my alarm last night but forgot to actually turn it on so I woke up 15 minutes late. Jared and I got to the BBK meeting place around 5:35 so we were able to get a warm up mile in before meeting with everyone. We did Parkway Palisades hills  today. It was a great workout. We did a 1,3,2 mile tempo type run. After all said and done I had 7.8 miles and I wanted to hit 10 so I hurried home and told my daughter to be ready to go when I got back and hurried and ran the rest super fast. My AP today was 8:19.

Splits-9:45, 8:48, 8:28, 8:23, 7:47, 8:19, 7:58, 8:09, 7:37, 7:49

That last mile was even with a half mile slower. I must've been cruisin'.

Way to get in those last miles! Your splits look great! You didn't peak at them during the 1,3,2 run, did you?

I actually didn't look at my watch until I was done. I totally went by feel and I think I make myself run faster/slower according to my pace at times. I need to ignore my pace and just run. Thanks for such a great workout!!!

You are so good to get those extra miles in. I'm glad you were having a good day. Let's hope Saturday is just as good.
